• Obituary, 19 Jul 1967, Chester, Queen Anne's County, Maryland. 74 Funeral services for Arthur P. Jester, who established one of the first automobile business in the state, will be held at 2 P.M. Firday at the Lane funeral establishment here.

Mr. Jester, who was 70, died unexpectedly Tuesday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

A native of Kent County, he attended Kent county schools before moving to Baltimore with his father who established a livery stable here. In 1902 the livery stable was changed to an automobile business, which Mr. Jester owned with his brother Wallace P. Jester.

Mr. Jester sold Denby's, Mitchells, and Willys-Knight Overlands before selling Nash's. In 1951 he retired to his Eastern Shore home.

He was an active member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Lions Club, and the Boumi Temple Yacht club. He was a member of the grace Memorial Baptist Church in Baltimore.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Marie A. Jester; a son, Wesley M. Jester,of Lutherville; and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Cousins, of Baltimore.
