bullet  Death Notes:

On 13 February 2019 Teresa got a text from her brother John that said "Call me, very bad news" He did not answer the call, so she called her brother Tom in Ireland. She asked him if something was wrong with Pat and all he would say is "I'm not God" and handed the phone to Pat's estranged wife, Margaret who told Teresa Pat was dead.
Pat was staying at his daughter Patricia's house in Templederry, outside of Nenagh. He would stay there when she and her husband were in England working. He would go out on a Saturday or Sunday and stay a few days to make sure the house was OK. He would then go back to number 2 for a few days. Tricia would usually call him every few days to check on him and to just talk.

She had tried to call him Sunday February 10th but did not get a hold of him. She thought the wi-fi might have gone out as that was the only way the phone would work. After several days, she got worried and asked the neighbor to check. On the 13th, the neighbor looked in the window and saw him sitting in a chair watching TV. He originally thought all was OK., but he could not rouse him. So he called the garda, police. They could not gain entrance because Pat had left the key in the inside of the deadbolt. They broke a window and went in.

Pat was found dead, sitting in the chair with his legs up and a small Jack Daniels whiskey in his had. He was watching his favorite form of TV, westerns. I think he died the way he would have wanted, seemingly peacefully and without any lingering disease.

Because he died alone and was not under a Dr.'s care for anything, he was taken to Limerick where an autopsy was performed. He was brought back to Nenagh on Monday the 18th for his funeral and burial.

He was laid out in J. J. Ryans funeral home the evening of Tuesday the 19th. After the service, he was taken to St. Mary of the Rosary Church at 7:30 P.M. where he laid at rest until the next day.

There was a requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12:00 followed by burial in Lisboney old Graveyard. He was buried in the same grave as his parents and several other Creagh generations.
