7th I have had a gathered finger was not able to write it is better now, I took the poultice off today I have been poorly but I am better now
8th Charlie had a chill today
9th I went to Town today got some medicine for myself and Charlie but he had a chill before I got home, I hope he will not have any more I went to see Mrs Loller a little while this afternoon I wrote to Aunt Rachel today
11th I went to Church this morning, there was not many there it looked so much like rain, and it did rain this afternoon
12th I am poorly tonight have been having those queer feelings. Eddie helped me with some peaches I got 9 cans done I have sold my old Sewing Machine to Walter Sister, for $5.00 she paid me 4.00 cash
13th This has been a rainy day, I am still poorly but have done some preserving and spicing today
14th I went to see Mrs Em Catlin this afternoon she has a baby a month old she was poorly today it was about dark when I got home
15th I have been caning peaches today, Charlie and Simmie are not well I think they have chill
16th I went to Chestertown today Lizzie has moved
18th I went to Church this morning there was not many and we had prayer and class meeting Mr Jefferson was not there Mrs and Mr Trudler were there he led class they came home with us
Sat Night- 24th
I have neglected my diary this week, will try and write a little about the past few day, I wrote to Mrs Oneil the 22nd went to Chestertown yesterday spent the day had a nice time, Lizzie and Beckie expect to go to Baltimore on monday, I went to Church Hill today, it is very cool and so it was yesterday, the fire feels very nice tonight Eddie and Lena have gone to Church Hill Charlie and Simmie have got better and, Clement is having chills, I got some Humphrey medicine I am agoing to try that on him
25th Went to Church today Mr Asters preached a splendid sermon, it has been very cool all day had fire in church for the first this fall
26th this has been a nice day not so cool as yesterday, I have a new cook, I have had a great time this year with my girls hope I will keep this one until Christmas
28th Clement has missed his chills I hope he will soon be well
29th I took a side down] to Rolph's Wharf today called on Mrs Riggins and Mrs Hendsin, Becki came from Baltimore we took her to Mr Crosley's shore, it rained right fast before we got home
30th Simmie was taken sick yesterday had a chill while I was away I have begun to give him some of Humphry's medicine Mr and Mrs Jefferson spent the afternoon and evening with us today
